Echoes of a shattered soul

The way one ends up getting triggered by a memory of past

Of the memories full of warmth, of the moments that didn't last

Nonchalant yet terrified of my image that my shadow casts

Reminiscing about a pure soul which is now an outcast

A soul, which now dwells on things that tear it apart

A soul which is near and at the same time, far

A soul, whose wounds are deep and so are the scars

A soul, who wanted peace but is filled with wars

A soul, who craved light, yet has succumbed to dark

A soul, which now sheds water as pearls and stars

Desiring to exist alone in the night's embrace,

Haunted by whispers of joy now misplaced.

Searching for peace in fragments that remain,

Haunted by whispers of joy which are away.

She was screaming in silence, her voice unheard,

Drowning in the air where hope once stirred.

In the heart's realm, where emotions engage,

Silent war scripted on life's autumn page.

~ Fuubutsushi

In the era of fuubutsushi, "it" drowns me

What people are scared of, that loneliness calls me

In the midst of the crowd, not even an echo is heard

Despite being cared by, I, still remain hurt

Bound by bonds that secretly decay

I keep struggling, each night each day

The inner child just fades and fades

Beneath the smiles, a soul which craves

A soul, which craves the light that has gone dark

A soul, which once loved life, now, lost its spark

A soul, which weeps, a soul which is far

A soul, which isn't dead, neither lives, is at war

The ones that loathe me, the ones who provide love

Not being intentious, they still get hurt

The thought of tomorrow, when crosses by

Don't matter the questions of what, which and why

Maybe all of my truth is just a lie

I killed myself, couldn't keep me alive

The sins which I committed, the ones I didn't

They all lie on my shoulder, deep and hidden

Or maybe my sorrows are in love with me

No matter what I do, they don't let me break free

So, I'd like to sum up this tale of a soul

Which is now just bits, and once was whole
